Hi! My name's Akaash.

I live in Bengaluru, India where I'm trying to build a life and career, with depth, range and intention.

My career pendulum has oscillated between engineering and management. I began as an engineer, spent over a decade in leadership roles, and have now returned to building. Throughout, I've worked on software products in financial technology - at Airbase (acq. by Paylocity),numberz (acq. by Chargebee),Intuit andTarget. I’m motivated by challenging problems, the agency to solve them and working with people who share similar values: thoughtfulness, intellectual honesty, and a sense of craft.

Outside of work, I’ve found that a meaningful life needs texture & variety. Music, fitness, reading, and philosophy lend that to mine. I’m a dad to my cat, Fitzgerald, and a supporter of Liverpool FC - two wildly unpredictable forces that I love unconditionally.

This here website of mine is meant to be a contrived vehicle for self-improvement. It's simultaneously an excuse tojournal,learn new things and maybe evenget luckier.
